Axiom

Axiom Discs

Axiom Discs are the visually appealing version of their parent company, MVP Discs. While they feature the same Gyro technology as MVP, they excel by having more vibrant flight plate and rim colors. These discs will be much easier to spot on the course due to their intense color combinations. As far as plastic types go Axiom currently has the following options:

Axiom Discs Molds

Axiom produces a full line of PDGA molds. If you want fill your bag with nothing but the beautiful Axioms then fine. You'll still have a disc for every shot.

Putters

The Axiom Envy has a nice deep but not too deep rim so you can get a good secure grip for putts or drives.

Midranges

The Alias and Theory hold down the Axiom midrange category. The Alias will hold a straight line and the Theory as a little more turn at -2 and only a 0.5

Fairway Drivers

The Crave is the most stable of the Axiom Fairway drivers but if you're looking for something easy to turn over or perhaps for a slower arm speed then try the Inspire with a -3 turn.

Distance Drivers

This is where Axiom thrives! With 9+ molds just in the distance driver category you can find exactly what you want. Axiom divides up their drivers by rim width which corresponds to speed. Their 3 rim widths are 20mm, 21.5mm and 23mm with 23mm being the highest speed discs. Within each of these they have multiple molds from understable to overstable. If you want to fine tune you distance drivers then Axiom will have exactly the disc you need.

MVP Disc Sports / Axiom Plastics

Axiom Discs are manufactured by Maple Valley Plastics in Brown City, MI, just north of Detroit. MV Plastics is an industry leader in plastic product manufacturing techniques.

Neutron Plastic - Super durable solid colors.

MVP's highest quality plastic that features its most intense colors. It has an opaque bright color making it easy to find. Neutron discs feel as good as they look. As with any Axiom disc the durability is in the overmold, but the Neutron plastic also has an extremely durable flight plate. While durable, the flight plate also leads the way in having a controllable grip straight from the factory. Neutron is comparable to Star/Fuzion/Gold Line/Tournament. Prefer a softer feel? Axiom has you covered with Neutron Soft plastic in select molds.

Proton Plastic - Durable and translucent.

Proton Plastic maintains the durability of Neutron but comes in beautiful, translucent, you wanna take a bite, candy colors. These are great discs to light up for LED night rounds. The Eclipse versions have glowing rims to boot. Much like Neutron it is designed to take a beating and maintain a consistent flight pattern to your very first throw with the disc. Slightly less grippy, but with time that will improve. The flight plate has a similar feel to Champion/Lucid/Opto/VIP plastic types.

Plasma Plastic - Soft and gummy. Great for the cold.

Plasma is a polymer plastic. It has a fancy metallic sheen and it's slightly gummy. Great for cold weather, it won't harden up and crack when the temperature drops. The gummy material has a better grip in the cold and rain too. An almost pearlescent metallic shine makes this possibly the best looking Axiom plastic. In addition Plasma is slightly more domey than it's sister plastics leading to more glide. A gummy grip means you will have the control to hit any line you want.

Axiom Eclipse Glow Envy & Halloween Stamp - Oct 19th

October 19, 2018 No comments

Glow season is upon us and the eclipse has reached the Axiom lineup for the first time with the Eclipse Glow Envy! The Eclipse Envy shares its flight characteristics with the Proton variant, being the most stable Envy and a beloved putter off of the tee. Axiom Eclipse features a slightly opaque glow core rather than the glow rim seen in the MVP Eclipse line. The glow core combined with Axiom’s colorful rim creates multiple striking color combinations. Axiom Eclipse plastic has all of the feel and durability of traditional Proton plastic but with a slightly gummy texture and a brilliant bright glow.

MVP to Begin Fully Incorporating the Familiar 4 Number Flight Rating System

June 18, 2018 No comments

MVP is going to begin incorporating their 4 number flight rating system on all of their discs including the MVP and Axiom brands. They had previously done this with just their Streamline brand. As new discs are produced they will start to have the flight ratings stamped on the disc helping players have a quicker idea of how a disc should perform.
