Edgewood 9 Hole

Installed in 2020 and designed by Kaw Valley Disc Golf Club (KVDGC) and board member Dan Meyers, Edgewood is a deceptively challenging 9 hole course that features a great mix of tightly wooded lines and shorter holes with longer shots that also require precision. This course does not have tee signs yet, but does feature tee pads donated by KVDGC and installed with help from local volunteers.

Located on the grounds of the East Lawrence Rec. Center, this course is a great option for newer and more advanced players; Edgewood will help anyone work on hitting a variety of lines.

Some potential hazards to look out for include poison ivy and stinging nettles in most of the rough off the fairway (most prevalent in the summer). Also, because of the small creek, some days during the summer the bugs can become a factor. Finally there are a few Locust trees around the course that can put spikes in discs but this doesn’t happen too often. Even with these downsides the positives of this course far outweigh the negatives and it stays playable year round.

All in all, Edgewood is a great course which presents a challenging and fun layout to players of all skill levels.
