The Animal was designed to be a short-range, stable forehand and backhand approach disc. It�s also a good putter in the wind and inside the circle. The Animal features our Thumtrac� Rim for a secure grip.
Plastic: XT - See all XT Discs
XT is a tough Pro plastic blend that was originally developed for the Nova and Atlas (XT Overmold). It worked so well, it spread to other models. Grip is off the charts and durability is almost as good as our premium plastics. XT (Pro) is more firm than Yeti Pro, and less firm than KC Pro with a unique grip that feels great in the hand, and helps stop the disc quickly when landing. It's sometimes referred to XT Pro but XT and XT Pro are the same.
Stamp: Stock
This is the standard, or stock, stamp for this mold in this plastic, at this time. Stock stamps change from time to time as manufacturers attempt to keep their offerings fresh.

Tim T. I tried a Berg. It sits in my hand weird, so everything is a hyzer. I tried the Range. That disc doesn't do anything I think it should do. This Animal, though, is exactly what I hoped the Berg and Range would be. Drives, putts, throw-in bids, approach shots... It's completely intuitive for any type of throw. It feels great, ignores wind, doesn't roll away... It's fantastic!

Tim T. I tried the range... no good in the wind, no good for putting, can't shape the flight. I tried the berg... sits in the hand awkward, doesn't release clean, just a brick. The animal... ignores the wind, great for putting, shapable, feels good, releases clean, very predictable, does not roll! This will be my approach disc forever.

Nick this is like a little slower version of a rhyno. not quite the drop of a berg but kind of a middle between a berg and a rhyno. stays strait though.
